Fuji’s camera division head honcho spoke out in an interview with Reuters, noting that the company has some lofty goals to be the No. 3 camera maker ahead of Samsung and Nikon. To get to that point, Fuji will re-enter the interchangeable lens camera market with new “luxury” mirrorless models and dedicated lenses developed in house. [Read more…]

‘Altissimo’ Timelapse Created from Over 45,000 Images
‘Altissimo’ (above) is Patryk Kizny’s latest slider-induced creation, showing off the beautiful Swiss Alps. iOS users can see it here.
The timelapse was assembled from more then 45,000 single frames, which consumed more than 700GB of storage space. Kizny and his team used motion-control sliders from DitoGear, which let you set the pace of the slider’s movement over time and get that smooth motion effect when edited together.
You may remember the last video from Kizny featured here – the HDR Chapel.

Fuji X100 Review

While other manufacturers have attempted to push the envelope, none have succeeded like Fuji has with the X100. Armed with a 12.3MP sensor and a fixed focal length of 23mm (35mm equivalent), the X100 is not your ordinary point and shoot camera. It’s also not a DSLR or what we typically categorize as a “mirrorless” camera even though it has no reflex mirror.
The Fuji X100 stands alone as a game changer in the “pro”-sumer photography realm. [Read more…]
Sugar Factory Becomes ‘Photo Theft Factory’, Photographer Calls Them Out With Photo Shoot
Back in February, Sugar Factory stole at least one of Ryan Doco Connors’ photos, using it on a t-shirt that it sold in its online store. When Connors called them out on it, he was told that Theft Sugar Factory had a legal right to use it because they changed it by 40%, which is a load of crap (legally speaking).
Instead of launching an expensive legal campaign to exercise his rights, Connors did a photo shoot in honor of Sugar Factory’s theft. Check it out below. [Read more…]
