This photo booth pranks is quite mean; however, it produced some funny reactions. The poor folks that walked into this photo booth of horror thought they were going to get their picture taken. Then, just as the camera was supposed to snap their fun pic, two guys pulled back the curtains and scared the crap out of everyone inside. [Read more…]

Watch Canon’s Image Stabilization Working from Inside the Lens
Anyone who has used a lens with image stabilization can easily recall the cool effect when looking through the viewfinder and press the shutter button halfway down. Those shaky shots suddenly become very stable – with almost a feeling that your lens is floating in some sort of fluid.
This short video shows the components inside of Canon’s 18-55mm IS lens operating with front element of the lens removed. As you can see, it’s a combination of springs and servos that deliver that fluid stabilization. I found myself watching this over and over.
This Video Shows How Tiny the Canon Rebel SL1 Really Is
This cool Canon commercial from Korea shows off the impressive size of the Canon Rebel SL1 (aka Canon 100D). I was impressed with the Rebel SL1 in my initial hands-on review and remain impressed with it after spending a few weeks with it. Expect a full review soon.

JVC GC-XA2 ADIXXION Second-Gen Action Camera Steps Up Its Game
JVC recently launched the GC-XA2 ADIXXION action camera. While the name is a bit awkward, the first-gen ADIXXION came out of nowhere with some pretty cool features, including a 1.5″ LCD built into the camera and a 5x zoom. However, user complaints about battery life and WiFi connection left a big question mark next to the camera.
The second generation model now sports 1080/60p and 720/120p HD video (up from 1080/30p and 720/60p in the first-gen) for some serious slow motion capability. Like its predecessor the GC-XA2 sports a built-in 1.5″ LCD, which I thought was a great feature in the first camera and I’m glad to see it stick around. [Read more…]
Canon 45mm & 90mm Tilt-Shift Lenses Coming Soon? EF 28-300mm & 100-400mm L Lenses Too?
Following up a previous rumor, there is more noise of a pair of new tilt-shift Canon lenses due in early 2014. The current TS-E 45mm f/2.8 and TS-E 90mm F/2.8 are well-overdue replacement and should find similar updates as seen in the recent Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L and TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II lenses. We could see an announcement later in 2013, but rumors suggest that they won’t be available until 2014. [Read more…]

We’ve posted these warnings before. The cool lasers at concerts will fry your camera’s sensor. Previous warnings have come in the form of Canon 5D Mark II and other HDSLRs getting cooked. This time, however, a RED EPIC (about a $20k camera) got fried at a concert. [Read more…]
