Canon recently issued a firmware update for the 5D Mark III to version 1.3.3. The new firmware provides for the following improvements and fixes:

The Canon 6D just dropped in price by another $100, bringing the retail price down to $1699. Additionally, Canon is offering a $300 instant rebate on the 6D, which brings it down $1399 right now. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
Similar price drops and rebates are available for the 6D with 24-105mm IS STM kit and 6D with 24-105mm f/4L IS USM kit.

Canon has brought the MAP (minimum advertised price) of the 5D Mark III down to $2799, which effectively becomes the new “retail” price. Additionally, the price drop comes in conjunction with a $300 instant savings for a limited time, which means you can buy the Canon 5D Mark III today at $2499 from US retailers. Likewise, the Canon 5D Mark III kit with the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens gets a corresponding price drop and instant savings rebate – making it $3099. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

Canon is now rumored to deliver the second generation of the Cinema EOS C300 and the C500 for NAB 2015 in early April.
Canon Rumors says that it has confirmed that the C500 Mark II would arrive – most likely alongside a 4K C300 Mark II cinema camera too.
Recall that we saw the Canon Cinema EOS C100 Mark II unveiled back in October 2014. It saw mild, yet important, upgrades from its predecessor.
Pushing the C300 Mark II to 4K is a big step up but still only a logical progression for a $12k+ camera in 2015. No word yet on what improvements the C500 Mark II will see.
The Canon 5D Mark IV is rumored to be the true successor to the 5D Mark III, while the new Canon 5Ds and 5Ds R will be part of a different branch of the Canon 5D line. The Canon 7D Mark II is going to sit on the APS-C throne for Canon over next few years. It has been a hot topic of discussion since it was first announced and initial impressions of the camera have been very positive.
I have used the camera for a couple of months and have been very impressed with most aspects of the camera. While there is no one feature that is a “Wow!” factor when you look at the Canon 7D Mark II’s spec sheet, all of the little things start to add up for a solid-performing camera born from the pedigree of the original Canon 7D.
