Sigma 24-35mm f/2 DG HSM Art Lens Priced at $999
The recently-announced Sigma 24-35mm f/2 DG HSM Art lens now has an official price tag of $999 and will ship by the end of July.
The new 24-35mm zoom is the second large aperture zoom lens Sigma has launched recently. It follows the impressive Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens for APS-C cameras and is the first time we’ve seen an f/2 zoom for a full frame DSLR.
Sigma claims that optical performance of the new zoom lens is comparable to Sigma’s 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Art and 35mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lenses. As such, Sigma suggests that it can replace 24mm, 28mm and 35mm prime lenses in your camera bag with this single zoom lens.

Today is Amazon Prime Day, which Amazon is using to promote its Prime membership benefits (you can get a free trial) with tons of deals (which Amazon says are better than Black Friday deals) across the different categories Amazon sells, including photography deals. Amazon Announces ‘Prime Day’ with More Deals than Black Friday
Amazon has announced Prime Day, a one-day shopping event for Amazon Prime members that takes place next Wednesday, July 15.
Amazon says that it will offer more deals than Black Friday (and it always has a ton of great deals on Black Friday).
Obviously, this is a ploy to get more people to sign up for Amazon Prime memberships. That said, I’ve been an Amazon Prime member for years and have always been happy with my membership benefits.
Aside from the free 2-day shipping, Amazon Prime offers a ton of other benefits with free instant video, Prime music, photo storage and lots more.
