Plustek has announced a new film scanner – the OpticFilm 120, which handles film scans from 35mm film strips, slides, and 120/220 film formats from 6×4.5 up to 6×12.
The OpticFilm 120 includes an eight-element glass lens and stable LED light source, providing a measured resolution of 5,300 dpi. The scanner is bundled with SilverFast Ai Studio 8 by LaserSoft Imaging, which includes Multi-Exposure and iSRD

G-Drive Mobile
G-Technology has released updated versions of its G-Drive Slim and G-Drive Mobile drives. The drives now offers USB 3.0 connectivity and faster drives. Both have been upgraded to 7200RPM hard drives to take advantage of the additional data transfer rate that USB 3.0 offers. [Read more…]
The G-Technology G-Dock ev is a new hard drive dock that is something we could really only dream about (if that) before the arrival of Thunderbolt. The G-Dock features two drive bays that accepts G-Technology G-Drive ev and G-Drive ev PLUS that, once inserted, mount on your system over the G-Dock’s Thunderbolt connection.
The novel feature of the G-Dock is that the G-Drives can be ejected and taken with you for use on the go via a USB 3.0 connection on the “portable” G-Drive ev units. However, the G-Drives connect into the dock via a SATA connection instead of the USB 3.0 used for when the drive is portable. A very slick set-up indeed. [Read more…]

Benro has introduced its new S6 Video Monopod, which provides a 13.2 lb payload capacity as well as a 4-step counterbalance for working with heavier cameras and longer lenses. The S6 head includes an independent pan lock, which allows the user to pan smoothly without having to turn the entire monopod.
