Olympus OM-D E-M10 and New Lenses Coming Soon – Images Leaked

Olympus is expected to unveil the OM-D E-M10 and several new lenses soon. The E-M10 had been previously leaked out by the Indonesian government listing above. The E-M10 is rumored to feature the same 16MP sensor as found in the E-M5 and the same processor as the E-M1. Additionally, it is expected to come with a new and very compact 14-42mm kit lens, which has already leaked out and is pictured below. [Read more…]

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Leaks Out as E-M5 Replacement

Apple Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.09 Adds Support for Olympus E-P5

Apple has issued an update to Digital Camera RAW to version 4.09, which adds RAW image compatibility for the Olympus E-P5 to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11.

It also includes changes that:

  • Restore lens correction to Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 images
  • Address a white balance issue with some Nikon images that were modified by third-party applications

Olympus ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens Announced

Alongside the new OM-D E-M1, Olympus has released the new ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens in Micro Four Thirds mount. Thanks to the 2x crop factor of Micro Four Thirds sensors, the lens offers a 24-80mm equivalent field of view.

Like the Olympus E-M1, the 12-40mm f/2.8 lens offers weather-sealing for durability in the elements. It features a 7-blade circular aperture for pleasant bokeh. The Olympus ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens retails for $999. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
