Think Tank Photo Custom Pixel Pocket Rocket

If there’s one accessory I carry everywhere, it’s my Pixel Pocket Rocket stashed with spare memory cards. I think it’s about the best memory card carrier out there.

MindShift Gear is a Spinoff from Think Tank Photo for Outdoor Camera Bags

Think Tank Photo launched a new outdoor photography backpack company called MindShift Gear. Think Tank Photo is launching this company with a Kickstarter program for a new rotating outdoor backpack, the rotation180° professional. You can check the project out here on Kickstarter.

It looks like MindShift Gear will focus solely on outdoor photography backpacks, while Think Tank Photo will remain committed to the professional urban market.

Think Tank Photo New Bags: Glass Limo, Retrospective 40 & Retrospective 50

Think Tank Photo is expanding the Retrospective line of should bags with Retrospective 40 and Retrospective 50.  The Retrospective 40 is designed for pro-size DSLRs with a pocket for most 13” laptops and the Retrospective 50 holds pro-size DSLRs with a pocket for 15.4” laptops.

Glass Limo

The Think Tank Photo Glass Limo is a slim profile backpack for carrying “Big Glass,” such as a 600mm f/4 without body attached or a pro-size body attached to a 500mm f/4.

Think Tank Photo unveiled its new Airport Navigator bag and CityWalker line of bags today at Photokina 2012.  Details from Think Tank Photo:

The CityWalker™ messenger bag series are designed with the urban photographer in mind.  Extremely lightweight, the bags have a sound silencer on the main flap, extra flaps for smaller lenses with a fully lined velex insert for maximum customization, internal pockets that fit a pro-size flash, and a removable padded insert.  Check out the CityWalker here at Think Tank Photo.

CityWalker Series

Think Tank Photo has announced a new trio of travel-worth photo backpacks – the Airport Accelerator, Airport Commuter, and Airport Essentials.

  • Airport Accelerator accommodates two pro size DSLRs, six to eight standard zooms, a 500 f/4.0, iPad, and up to a 17” laptop. The largest of the three, this one has a padded removable waist belt.

  • Airport Commuter accommodates a pro size DSLR, four to six standard zooms, (increased depth holds a 400 f/2.8), iPad and 15” laptop .

Think Tank Photo Retrospective 30 Review

The Think Tank Photo Retrospective line of camera bags are one of the newest series in their lineup.  It’s also one of the few bags that you can get in something other than black.  While I am certainly partial to black camera bags, I absolutely love the new Pinestone color on these Retrospective bags.

There are several different bags in the Retrospective lineup – from the Retrospective 5 (for compact and mirrorless kits with a couple of lenses and accessories) to the Retrospective 30 (for handling a more pro-level kit up to a DSLR with 70-200 attached plus extra lenses and bodies). [Read more…]
