Panasonic Shows Off Anamorphic Firmware Update for GH4

Fuji XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR Lens Announced

Fuji XF 16mm f1.4 Lens

Fuji has announced its new XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR lens. It has two aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements with a nine blade rounded diaphragm. Fuji claims autofocus speeds with this lens as fast as 0.11 second. It is weather sealed for pairing with the Fuji X-T1.

The aperture ring gives you 1/3 step adjustments between the marked full f/stop points. The lens is comprised of a total of 13 elements in 11 groups and contains Nano GI coatings for reduced ghosting and flare.

The new Fuji XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR lens retails for $999.95 and should ship in May 2015. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

DxO OpticsPro v10.4 Available with Nikon D7200 and Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II Support

DxO Labs has released DxO OpticsPro v10.4, DxO FilmPack v5.1.2 and DxO ViewPoint v2.5.4, which add RAW file support for the Nikon D7200 and Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.

The updates also add optics module support for a number of camera and lens combination, including the new Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L USM and Nikon 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lenses.

Final Cut Pro X 10.2 Adds 3D Titling and More

During NAB 2015 this week, Apple released updates to Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor.

Final Cut Pro X 10.2’s big new features include:

  • 3D titles
  • improved masking for color grading and effects
  • native support for more camera formats
  • GPU-accelerated RED RAW processing

Motion 5.2 extends the power of 3D titles with the ability to create custom materials and environments and instantly publish them to Final Cut Pro X. And, Compressor 4.2 makes it easy to package a movie for sale on the iTunes Store.
