Canon 5D Mark III Gets Major Price Drop and Instant Savings

Canon has brought the MAP (minimum advertised price) of the 5D Mark III down to $2799, which effectively becomes the new “retail” price. Additionally, the price drop comes in conjunction with a $300 instant savings for a limited time, which means you can buy the Canon 5D Mark III today at $2499 from US retailers. Likewise, the Canon 5D Mark III kit with the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens gets a corresponding price drop and instant savings rebate – making it $3099. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

The Booq Python Slimpack is a compact backpack that can handle a decent-sized DSLR kit. It is a comfortable bag to wear – with more than adequate padding on the shoulder straps and back contact points.

The Python Slimpack is made with a rugged, ballistic nylon exterior with a water-repellant coating. It has a top opening for quick access to a camera and lens. The main compartment, however, is completely concealed with access only via the back panel. As a result, you have to completely remove the bag from your shoulders in order to gain access to additional lenses or camera bodies. [Read more…]
