Samsung WB2200F is a 60x Superzoom with a Vertical Grip

January 13, 2014 By Eric Reagan

Samsung WB2200F

The Samsung WB2200F is a bit of a head scratcher. At a time when camera makers are packing longer zoom ranges into smaller camera bodies, Samsung has taken the opposite approach and made the WB2200F as a 60x superzoom with an integrated vertical grip. [Read more…]

Hasselblad is at it again with a new Lunar mirrorless camera. This one is a special edition camera that “boasts a sumptuous, unique red Tuscan leather grip; a black leather shoulder strap accented with red stitching and an exclusive PVD matte gold-treated top plate – and comes with a  ‘before tax’ price tag of €7,200.” That works out to about $10,000 USD. Photoshop Photography Program Extended (Again) Through Feb. 28

January 13, 2014 By Eric Reagan

Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Creative Cloud Deal

Adobe is beating this dead horse into the ground. I have lost count of how many times the Photoshop Photography Program has been extended.  This time, however, the deal is only available for those who own CS3 or later products, but the price remains $9.99/mo. And, yes, I do actually think this is a good deal, but Adobe is killing me with the on again/off again routine.

The Photoshop Photography Program offers access to Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 (plus respective feature updates and upgrades as they are available), 20GB of cloud storage and Behance ProSite, via Adobe Creative Cloud for $9.99/month as an annual subscription.

You can find more details here on Adobe’s website.

January 10, 2014 By Eric Reagan

JVC 4K Camcorder

4K is the big buzz phrase this year. Camera-wise though, the selection is still a bit slim. Sony showed off its new FDR-AX100 and Panasonic featured a prototype 4K Lumix camera. Additionally, JVC had its 4K version of the PX100 on display as a reference exhibit at CES 2014. The camera was tethered to a 4K display and streaming 4K footage from its HDMI port.
