We’ve all seen the before and after photos that plague online advertising. These photos are often part of ads that proclaim the latest and greatest fitness craze or weight loss pill. In the above video, BuzzFeedBlue shows just how easy it is to fake these photos using nothing more than some lighting and posing changes.
While there are certainly things you can do to enhance a physique for the after photo (e.g., lift weights, cardio and eat healthier), much of the presentation still relies on the professional eye of the photographer.

If you have been using the full auto mode (aka the little green square) on your camera for very long, chances are that it has frustrated you at some point because it won’t let you do something that seems like a no-brainer. Have you ever tried to turn the off the flash when using full auto only to have it pop right back up when you press the shutter again? Thank the full auto mode for that.

Rokinon has announced a new 12mm T3.1 ED AS IF NCS UMC Cine DS Fisheye lens for full frame image circles.
As with other Rokinon Cine lenses, it provides geared focus and aperture rings. The 12mm fisheye provides a 180° angle of view and a removable petal-shaped hood.
The Rokinon 12mm T3.1 Cine lens retails for $549 and is available for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony A-Mount and Sony E-Mount cameras. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

Corel continues to make progress with AfterShot Pro 2. Now the RAW file processing program is available in the Mac App Store for $79.99.
Corel is attempting to capitalize on the demise of Apple Aperture by making AfterShot Pro 2 available in the same customer portal at the same price point. To Corel’s credit, AfterShot Pro 2 looks like a nice upgrade to the first version of AfterShot Pro. You can read more about the improvements in the AfterShot Pro 2 announcement post.
