Polaroid Z340 Instant Digital Camera Hands-On
Polaroid’s Z340 instant digital camera is a bit of a throwback to the old-school Polaroid film cameras. Fuji X-S1, New X-Series Superzoom
The Fuji X-S1 is a new ultrazoom model that takes a place next to the Fuji X10 and Fuji X100 in the premium X-series line.
The Fuji X-S1 features a 12MP EXR CMOS sensor that is a larger 2/3″ format. The X-S1 features a manual 26x zoom lens (24-624mm equivalent) at f/2.8-5.6 and 2x enhanced digital zoom, which Fuji claims offers expanded reach with minimal quality loss.
The Fuji X-S1 captures full resolution images at 7 fps and will record 1080p HD video.

Fuji SL300, S4500 and S4200 Superzooms
The Fuji SL300, S4500 and S4200 are a trio of new long-zoom cameras announced just prior to CES 2012.
The SL300 features a rubberized body, 14MP CCD image sensor and 30x zoom lens with a 24-720mm equivalent range. It offers power zooming with zoom buttons near the shutter release and on the lens barrel. The SL300 should be available in March for $299.95. Check availability on Amazon.com.
The S4500 and S4200 feature 30x and 24x zoom lenses, respectively. Both models offer a 14MP CCD image sensor, 720p, image stabilization and are powered by AA batteries.

Fuji FinePix F770EXR, F750EXR and F660EXR
Just prior to CES 2012, Fuji has announced its Spring 2012 line of EXR-compact cameras – the F770EXR, F750EXR and F660EXR.
Both the F770EXR and F750EXR feature a 16MP CMOS image sensor and 20x zoom lens (25-500mm equivalent). Additionally, these models can capture full resolution images at a rate of 8 fps. The F770EXR offers RAW image capture and GPS functionality, while the F750EXR does not. The F770EXR and F750EXR should be available in March.

In addition to the F770EXR and F750EXR, the F660EXR rounds out the EXR-compact line with the same 16MP CMOS image sensor; however, it sports a 15x zoom lens (24-360mm equivalent) and 11 fps image capture at reduced-resolution. Fuji HS30EXR and HS25EXR Superzoom Cameras
Fuji continues the popular HS-line of cameras with the Fuji HS30EXR and HS25EXR prior to CES 2012.
The HS30EXR now serves as the flagship HS camera, replacing the HS20, while the HS25EXR steps in as a secondary model in the HS-line.
The HS30EXR features a 16MP CMOS sensor and 30x optical zoom. Priced at $499.95, the HS30EXR should be available in March. Check availability on Amazon.com.
The HS25EXR offers the same 16MP CMOS image sensor and 30x optical zoom. However, the HS25EXR is powered by AA batteries and does not allow users to capture RAW image files like the HS30EXR. The HS25EXR retails for $399.95 and should be available in March. Check availability on Amazon.com.

Fuji FinePix JX580, JX500 and AX550
Fujifilm has announced three new budget cameras (amid a total of 19 in its Spring 2012 lineup) just prior to CES 2012. The value series refresh features the JX580, JX500 and AX550, which are priced at $119.95, $99.95 and $89.95, respectively.
Just a quick hit on the specs now…
Both JX models offer rechargeable Li-ion batteries, while the AX550 is powered by AA batteries. All three models offer a 5x zoom (26-130mm equivalent) lens and 720p HD video capture. The JX580 and AX550 have a 16MP CCD sensor, while the JX500 has a 14MP sensor.

Sony Full Frame 36MP Camera to Follow Nikon D800
Recent rumors purport to make the Nikon D800 a “sure thing” for a 2011 announcement. While a follow-up to the Nikon D700 is overdue in terms of camera life expectancy, the biggest “shocker” of the rumor suggests a 36MP full frame sensor in the D800.
Nikon has relied on Sony for its past full frame sensors, and so, it seems logical that Sony would make use of such a sensor in its own Alpha-series DSLRs as well (as in the Nikon D3X and Sony A900 models). And that me be what’s to come with a new full frame Sony camera sporting the same 36MP Sony sensor to be found in the Nikon D800. [Read more…]
PMA 2011 Cancelled, Will Piggyback Onto CES 2012

Samsung NX11 Hands-On Review
