Taking a cue from its popular X-Series cameras, Fujifilm has announced the new Instax Mini 90 Neoclassic instant film camera.

Fuji’s Instax line has remained popular in the digital age with cameras like the Instax Mini 7S and Instax Mini 25 being some very popular cameras among Photography Bay readers. Vincent Laforet Works a Canon A2E and Lensbaby in DigitalRev’s Cheap Camera Challenge

DigitalRev’s Cheap Camera challenge is a hilarious tradition of pro shooters taking some of the cheapest cameras around and being challenged to come up with some great. Previous challenges have included Eric Wong with a pink point and shoot and Zack Arias with crappy Kodak compact and a single speedlight.

In this latest episode, Vincent Laforet (who is best known for taking a prototype 5D Mark II and shooting Reverie and, thereafter ushering in the HDSLR revolution) gets a Canon A2E film camera, a Lensbaby Composer and two rolls of ISO 400 film.

Fuji INSTAX Mini 8 Instant Film Camera Announced

The Fuji Instax Mini 8 is the next instant film camera in the Instax family due out early 2013.

The Instax Mini 8 uses the same credit card sized photos as found in other Instax Mini models, like the Mini 7S and Mini 25.  The Instax Mini 8 will be available in five different colors: pink, blue, yellow, white and black.

Expect to see more on this analog camera at CES 2013.

Impossible Instant Lab Aims to Turn iPhone Images Into Instant Prints

Impossible Project has launched a Kickstarter campaign to build an instant Polaroid printer for your iPhone that prints images directly from your iPhone’s screen.

The design is rather straightforward.  Pull up an image on your iPhone.  Place the iPhone face down on the Impossible Instant Lab and press the shutter button on the Instant Lab.  Then, your print ejects from the Instant Lab.
