New ‘Act of Valor’ Trailer Polishes the 5D’s Resume
I just talked about ‘Like Crazy’ a couple of days ago, which was shot on the Canon 7D and is out in theaters now. And now, Relativity Media, which picked up ‘Act of Valor‘ for a cool $13M earlier this year, just released the second trailer for the film. As you may already know, Act of Valor was shot primarily with the Canon 5D Mark II and a combination of Zeiss and Panavision lenses – with Shane Hurlbut, ASC serving as DP on the film.

To be clear, the Scarlet has the same sensor size and dimensions as the EPIC. The processing power, however, is where the limitations lie at. If you are shooting cinema at 24p though, this is the cheapest and highest resolution you’ll find by a long shot.
