I don’t really have a whole lot to say about the new Fuji XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens other than its even smaller than I expected it to be. As you can see it mounted on the Fuji X-T10, it’s pretty compact – the X-T10 is already a pretty compact camera and the 35mm is a perfect walk-around lens at 53mm equivalent field of view. The Zeiss Otus 28mm f/1.4 lens is the showstopper lens at PhotoPlus 2015.This is probably the best wide angle lens that you can buy. Of course, there’s no official price tag on it yet but you can probably expect it to be in the $4,000 to $5,000 range, along with its Otus 55mm f/1.4 and the Otus 85mm f/1.4 siblings. [Read more…]
This is probably the only one of these I’ll ever get my hands on since they are only making 100 units of it but it sure is a unique lens. The Mitakon Speedmaster 135mm f/1.4 lens features a clickless aperture and a long-throw focus ring around the massive barrel. It uses 105mm filters. [Read more…]
Lensbaby has announced its new Composer Pro II lens with the Edge 50 Optic, which is available for Canon, Nikon, Sony A, Pentax K, Fuji X, Sony E, Micro Four Thirds and Samsung NX mounts. Amazon has the new Rokinon 50mm f/1.2 and 21mm f/1.4 lenses in stock and now shipping. The new Rokinon lenses are available for Canon EF-M, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, and Sony E mounts.

Canon Rumors reports of a tip that Canon is working on a new EF 70-200mm L lens. It would most likely be the aging EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM model that would get the Mark II update.
No word on when the lens would be coming but sooner rather than later is likely. Canon has a habit of introducing professional lenses in the November-ish time frame, so that wouldn’t be a total shocker to see such a lens then.
