Panasonic’s New Lumix GH5S is a Low-Light Video Shooter

Panasonic unveiled its new Lumix GH5S this week at CES 2018. It’s built for a low-light and video shooting with a 10.3MP Micro Four Thirds image sensor. It looks a lot like Panasonic’s version of Sony’s A7S product line.

Note the key features mostly highlight the video features and reinforces its position as a camera made for the video enthusiasts and pros. Nonetheless, it is still a full featured photography tool that captures 10.3MP RAW image files and up to 12fps. However, it’s worth noting that Panasonic did not include the sensor-shift stabilization inside the GH5S in order to avoid problems with sensor movement during video capture.

Panasonic Unveils DC-G9 Photography-Centric Camera

The new Panasonic DC-G9 is a Micro Four Thirds camera sports a 20.3MP sensor and features an 80MP High-Resolution Shot mode that uses slight movement of the sensor to combine successive shots. The G9 also offers the ability to shoot up to 60 frames per second in AF-S mode or 20 frames per second in AF-C mode. Deal: Panasonic LX100 for $559

Amazon has the Panasonic LX100 for $559.95 right now (compare at $797.99). The LX100 features a 16.8MP 4/3? sensor and a Leica 24-75mm equivalent lens with a bright f/1.7-2.8 aperture. The camera captures 12.8MP still images in 4:3 aspect ratio. Additionally, it captures 4K video at 30/24 fps and 1080p video at 60 fps. Check it out while it lasts here on Amazon.com.

Deal: Panasonic GH4 with 2TB Hard Drive for $997

I thought this deal was dead. I saw it the other day and went back to look for it and saw the GH4 was $1197 on B&H’s site. Well, I just checked an email from B&H and found the right link for the Panasonic GH4 that INCLUDES at WD 2TB hard drive for $997, which is basically $500 off the current retail price of the GH4 – and you get a free hard drive.

I know the GH5 is out now and that it’s a big deal, but the GH4 is still a solid camera that shoots 4K video as well.
