Alongside the new Pentax K-3, Ricoh also announced the new Pentax HD DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED WR lens. The new telephoto zoom features Pentax’s multi-layer High Definition (HD) coating and a weather sealed construction.

Pentax K-3 Officially Unveiled

Pentax has taken the wraps off of its new flagship DSLR – the 24MP Pentax K-3.

As the first image of the new Pentax K-3 has leaked out, it looks like Pentaxians will continue to be disappointed with no full frame DSLR. If this image is legit, then the Pentax K-3 is, in fact, an APS-C camera. Rokinon 16mm f/2.0 ED AS UMC CS Lens Available for Pre-Order

Rokinon’s new 16mm f/4 ED AS UMC CS lens is now available for pre-order for $479 with expected availability on August 8. This lens is built for APS-C sensors. As such, the Canon EF-S version offers a field of view equivalent to 25.6mm on a full frame camera. While Nikon, Sony, Fuji X-Series and other APS-C cameras will get a 24mm equivalent field of view. Pentax Announces Entry-Level K-500 and Colorful K-50 DSLRs

Pentax has announced a pair of new DSLRs – the entry-level K-500 and mid-level K-50.

The K-50 features 81 weather seals and availability in 120 customizable color combinations. It is equipped with a 16.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor and captures 1080p HD video at 24, 25 or 30 fps.

The K-50 has sensor-based image stabilization, a 3-inch 921k-dot res LCD and is powered by either Li-Ion or AA batteries.  [Read more…]
