Hasselblad recently launched its latest medium format camera in the H4D line. The new H4D-200MS sports a 50MP sensor and includes all of the features found in the H4D-50 and H4D-50MS; however, the 200MS now has the ability to capture 200MP images by shifting the sensor and capturing multi-shot images. Canon has released a firmware update for the 5D Mark II. The new firmware version 2.0.9 provides the following updates.

Polaroid’s GL10 instant printer, which it announced at CES with Lady Gaga, is now available at Bloomingdale’s for $169.99. Thirty sheets of photo paper for the 3″ x 4″ prints it produces runs $19.99.

Flickr has been the subject of heavy criticism for its past policy of deleting accounts with no way to undo its action if it turns out to be a mistake. This issue reached a boiling point earlier this year when Mirco Wilhelm’s account was “accidentally deleted” due to a mix up by a Flickr staffer.
After repeated demands for a better system, Flickr has finally relented and “instituted a 90 day delay in deleting the content, including the photos, metadata, comments, and all the bits of an account, after it’s deleted.” [Read more…]

Adobe has released an incremental update for Lightroom 3 and Camera Raw 6. This update is geared toward a fix for a rare bug related to JPEG files from the HP PhotoSmart R607 digital camera. Additional details about the bug are available on Adobe’s Lightroom Journal.
