Comparing Canon EF Lenses on the EOS M10 and Sony A5100
In this video, I look at the new Canon EOS M10 and Sony A5100 and how well they both work with Canon EF lenses when paired with the Canon EF to EF-M Adapter and the Metabones EF – E Speed Booster Ultra (note: link is the newest version), respectively.
Lenses used on the M10 and A5100 in this video are the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM, EF 50mm f/1.4 USM and EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM.
Canon has taken a lot of crap for its efforts in the mirrorless market (and in many ways, deservedly so). The EOS M10, although an entry-level model, is a step in the right direction. Sony isn’t slowing down and once it gets its own lens library built up, we’ll all stop asking questions about which adapter is the right one for your Sony mirrorless camera and Canon lenses.
