Adobe Shows Off New “Shake Reduction” Feature in Next-Gen Photoshop

Adobe released a sneak peek video today showing off the implementation of the Shake Reduction tool that is coming to the next version of Photoshop. This new feature will sharpen images that are blurry as a result of camera shake-induced blur.

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Lens Confirmed by Sigma

Fuji XF 55-200mm Lens Announced

Fuji has announced the new the first XF telephoto zoom lens for the X-Series, the XF55-200mm F3.5-F4.8 R LM OIS lens. The new lens will work the Fuji X-Pro1 and X-E1 mirrorless cameras, which will also be receiving new firmware to improve autofocus performance (coming in July according to Fuji). [Read more…]

Holy cow! What a lens for APS-C shooters if this is for real.

The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM lens appears to have leaked out ahead of an official announcement. The lens would be a boon to Nikon D7100 and Canon 7D shooters if this turns out to be real. With the crop factor taken into account, we would be looking at a field of view equivalent of a 27-52.5mm lens on a full frame camera.

And that’s at a constant f/1.8 aperture throughout the range! [Read more…]

The new Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens is in stock and now shipping here at B&H Photo.

This is the lens that is now included as a kit lens with the Canon Rebel T5i and the Rebel SL1. Based on the performance of past Rebel kit lenses, it may be a bit overpriced at $249… What do you think?

Ricoh has announced the new Ricoh GR, a 16.2MP compact APS-C camera. It features an 18.3mm lens (28mm equivalent) and has no optical low-pass filter.
