B&H is offering an unpublished deal on the Canon PIXMA PRO-100 this week for $79.99 after all rebates. The current mail-in rebate gets the price down to $129.99 (reg. $379.99). You don’t see this deal when you just go to the website but when you use the coupon code BHOPTICS17 at checkout, you get another $50 instant rebate for a final price of $79.99.

Sony A6500 Review

The Sony A6500 is a mid-range, prosumer mirrorless camera. It follows an established line of products that go back to the NEX-6 model when Sony separated the Alpha branding for A-mount SLT cameras from its E-mount mirrorless cameras. The A6500’s two predecessors (A6300 and A6000) remain in the current product lineup as lower-end prosumer models, while the A6500 serves as the flagship APS-C format camera for its mirrorless line.

Nikon D7500 Now Available

The Nikon D7500 (aka the D500 Jr.) is now available and shipping to customers.

The Nikon D7500 comes equipped with the same 20.9-megapixel image sensor, EXPEED 5 processor and wide ISO range as the Nikon D500. It also shoots 4K video, albeit with the same 1.5x crop as the D500. With the D7500, you also get simultaneous 4K output to the SD card and uncompressed via HDMI.

New T-Shirt: 70-200mm f/2.8 Lens Technical Drawing

This week’s new photography t-shirt showcases an optical formula for a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. The shirt is shown above in “heather gray,” which is my new favorite color for t-shirts.

As you can see in the Instagram photo below, I picked up the “I’m Just Here to Take Pictures” shirt in heather gray. The fabric blend for this color is just about perfect for my tastes. I like a soft, thin t-shirt and this style balances that flavor perfectly for me. [Read more…]
