Recent stock updates on major retailers suggest that the Canon 5D Mark III, Nikon D4 and Nikon D800 will all ship in March.  Those who are on some of the pre-order lists will be seeing their new cameras in the next couple of weeks.

Previously, I did a comparison review of battery grips for the Canon 5D Mark II – specifically, the Canon BG-E6 battery grip with third party grips from Zeikos (apparently, no longer available) and Vivitar.  My conclusion was that both of the third-party grips performed comparably to the more expensive Canon-branded grip.  As a supplement to that review, I’m casting the Vello BG-C2 grip for the Canon 5D Mark II and the Vello BG-C4 battery grip for the Canon 7D into the comparison. Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 Release Candidate Available, Latest Nikon & Canon Models Supported

Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 release candidate is available for download via Adobe Labs. Camera Raw 6.7 adds support for the following cameras:

You’ll also need Camera Raw 6.7 for full support between Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5. Several lens profiles have been added/updated as well.

Remember, this is a release candidate, which means it has been pretty well tested and Adobe thinks it is ready for full release; however, it’s recommended that you keep production work to prior versions until the official releases drop.  Expect those to come soon though.  Release candidates mean that the final versions are just around the corner.

Official 5D Mark III Images and Spec List?

This appears to be the official images of the 5D Mark III along with a possible spec list for the camera. (via CR)

Note that there are a couple of things in the spec list that seem a little odd – like the plethora of video formats.  We should know something for sure later tonight though.
