As expected, it looks like Canon has big plans in place for NAB 2012. Engdaget broke news of this teaser, which takes place the night before the NAB Show exhibits open. This appears to be the official images of the 5D Mark III along with a possible spec list for the camera. (via CR)
Note that there are a couple of things in the spec list that seem a little odd – like the plethora of video formats. We should know something for sure later tonight though.

Above is a supposed to be one of the press invites for the 5D Mark III due out at midnight Thursday night. (via CR)
Something is coming Thursday night at midnight EST. Of course, I’ll have full details up as soon as I know something official. We may even get some leaks ahead of time (usually the case).

Canon USA has issued an update on the availability of its 500mm f/4L IS II and 600mm f/4L IS II lenses, which were previously announced in February 2011. Initially, the lenses were set to be available in May and June 2011; however, that was pushed back until December 2011 and ultimately listed as TBD for the availability of both models.
Now, Canon says that both lenses will be available in May 2012. Currently, B&H lists the availability for each lens as April 25, 2012. Check the following links.

A tipster recently sent me word that the Canon 5D Mark II would remain in Canon’s lineup in the near future. However, another new DSLR model would be released soon (instead of a 5D Mark III) and would be a step-up from the 5D Mark II. [Read more…]

Canon has posted the manual for the new C300 cinema camera. You can download it from Canon USA’s site here.
The Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II and 400mm f/2.8L IS II lenses have been available at times in limited quality; however, it looks like B&H has them both available now. Hit the links above for details.
Note that the 400mm lens is listed as “available for pre-order” which generally means that B&H expects it to be in stock and shipping out to customers within the next few days.
