Cameras.co.uk has posted a review of the Nikon Coolpix S600. The S600 is a 10 megapixel point and shoot digital camera. It also features a 4x optical zoom, Nikon’s VR image stabilization and a sensitivity range up to ISO 3200.
From time to time I find a digital camera I just cannot get on with. This is the case with the Nikon Coolpix S600. It is a shame because the camera has a number of impressive points such as start up time and shutter lag delay.
Imaging Resource was kind enough to post the following video of the Nikon D700 demonstrating both its standard 5 FPS frame rate and the high speed 8 FPS frame rate with the MB-D10 attached.

PhotographyBLOG has posted a review of the Nikon Coolpix P60. The P60 is an 8 megapixel point & shoot camera with a 5x optical zoom (equivalent to 36mm-180mm on a 35mm format camera). The P60 also features image shift Vibration Reduction (VR) and sensitivity range of ISO 80-2000.
The Nikon Coolpix P60 is a well-built (especially solid with two AA batteries inserted) and reasonably priced option for digital beginners or casual snappers, if slightly boringly bringing nothing new to the party.
Nikon just released the D700, but they seem to want to keep their name in the headlines. They just released new firmware for the D3 DSLR . The biggest improvements were made to the autofocus and the white balance. The D300 also received a firmware update — this one fixes incorrect battery indicators.
If you want to update your Nikon, firmware updates are available for download on Nikon’s website. While it would be nice to get your hands on one of those nice shiny new D700s, these firmware updates will enable your older D3s and D300s to keep up with those young whippersnappers.

Nikon has just officially announced the new full frame D700 DSLR, which we’ve all been expecting since leaked images and rumors began piling up a couple of weeks ago. The Nikon D700 has the same high ISO capabilities as the D3, with sensitivity up to ISO 25600.

The SB-900 is a high-performance Speedlight developed as the successor to the hugely successful Nikon SB-800. This image of a magazine spread featuring the Nikon D700 looks pretty convincing. You can also see what appears to the the Nikon SB-900 flash. It surfaced in the DP Review forums earlier today.

Many publications will get pre-release cameras in order to make it to press with the latest news. In exchange, they generally must enter into a non-disclosure agreement (NDA); however, Photography Bay doesn’t have any such agreement with Nikon, or else I wouldn’t be posting this info. The official press release from Nikon can’t be too far behind now.
