Tokina AT-X 11-20mm f2.8 PRO DX Lens

The upcoming Tokina AT-X 11-20mm f/2.8 PRO DX lens went up for pre-order today at a $599 retail price. It should start shipping on March 2, 2015 for both Canon and Nikon mounts.

This is an APS-C format lens, which results in about a 17.5-32mm full frame equivalent field of view. It has a nine-blade diaphragm and internal focusing. Check it out here at B&H Photo.

Tamron SP 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC Lens

Tamron has released its new SP 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD lens for Canon, Nikon and Sony A mounts. Note, however, that the Sony A-mount version does not include the VC motor for image stabilization.

The lens offers full frame coverage with XGM and LD glass elements in the front group to minimize chromatic aberrations, along with Tamron’s eBAND and BBAR coatings to reduce ghosting and flare. It has a 9-blade aperture and features a built-in lens hood.

Fuji Announces New XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens

Fuji XF 16-55mm f2.8 R LM WR Lens

A couple weeks back at CES 2015, Fuji unveiled it a new X-Series lens – the Fuji XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR. It provides an equivalent field of view to a 24-84mm lens on a full frame camera, which sounds pretty great at f/2.8 all the way through.

It’s a weather-sealed lens with 14 sealing points and dust-proof design. It’s made to pair nicely with the weather-sealed Fuji X-T1. [Read more…]
