The Rokinon 35mm T.15 version of the recently-covered Samyang cine lenses are now in stock at B&H Photo for Canon, Nikon and Sony Alpha mounts. All versions currently run $549 and feature a geared focus and aperture control ring.

Samyang Optics has launched three new cinema lenses for Nikon and Canon mount HDSLRs.
These new cine lenses accompany the existing Samyang 8mm T3.8 Fisheye cine lens and feature “follow-focus gearing on focus and decoupled aperture. Such alterations allow the user to smoothly and quietly change focus and aperture / depth of field whist filming. Another feature is the visibility of the aperture and focus scale on the side of the lens.”
The new lenses should be available in August/September 2012.
The new Tokina DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 lens for Canon and Nikon mounts is now available for pre-order at B&H Photo. Retail is $739. Note that this lens is designed for use on DSLRs with an APS-C sensor and not full frame sensors.
Pricing and availability are now official for the new Sigma APO Macro 180mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens. It will be available on July 27 for $1699 for Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Sony and Pentax mounts. It’s currently available for pre-order at B&H Photo.

The Yashuhara Nanoha x5 macro lens is available for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX cameras. The 5:1 magnification of this little lens is incredible. It sports a zoom range that goes from 4x to 5x as well as built-in illumination. Zeiss unveiled a new 70-200mm CZ.2 70-200/T2.9 cinema zoom lens at NAB 2012. The new lens features an 18-blade aperture for a round iris and is available in PL, EF, F, MFT and E mounts via Zeiss’ interchangeable mounting solutions. [Read more…]

Zeiss has unveiled two new compact prime lenses – the CP.2 15/T2.9 super wide angle lens and the CP.2 135/T2.1 lens. The new CP.2 lenses offer full frame coverage in multiple mount options – PL, EF, F, MFT and E mounts.

Tamron’s new stabilized 24-70mm f/2.8 lens is available for pre-order at B&H Photo and due to ship on April 26.
Lensbaby has announced the Composer Pro for mirrorless cameras, including Micro Four Thirds, Sony NEX and Samsung NX models. The Composer Pro works with the existing Optic Swap system and comes with the Double Glass Optic. The new Composer Pro for mirrorless cameras retails for $300 and is available from lensbaby.com and B&H Photo.
