Panasonic Lumix GH4R Rumored to Add V-Log Recording Option

Panasonic’s GH4 has been rumored to get an upgrade with a V-Log recording option for wider dynamic range and greater flexibility in color grading. We saw this feature alongside the anamorphic firmware upgrade back at NAB 2015.

What we didn’t know at the time was when it would be released and if it would cost extra. We still don’t have answers to these questions but new rumors from Digicame-info suggest that Panasonic may introduce a new model, the GH4R, which comes with V-Log capabilities out of the box. [Read more…]

Canon Mirrorless Cameras Come Back to US with the EOS M3

Instagram is singlehandedly responsible for the resurgence of the square format photo. It’s the reason we have a square photo template available in the iPhone camera app.

And now, Instagram is opening its doors to non-square formats. So, finally, we don’t have to squeeze a landscape or portrait image into a square frame. With this new version, you can share photos and videos with aspect ratios between 1.91:1 and 4:5. [Read more…]

Canon has officially announced the EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM lens. It is the first lens with Canon’s newly-developed Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR Optics), which uses organic material to “achieve a higher level of chromatic aberration correction than other existing technologies.” [Read more…]

Panasonic Lumix GX8 Now Shipping
