Alongside the new Samsung NX1, the company also revealed a new pro-level lens to complement the flagship camera. The Samsung 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS S lens provides a field of view equivalent to 77-231mm on a full frame camera. As such, the lens fills the slot for what would typically be a 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom in most other DSLR lines.  [Read more…]

iPhone 6 Video Stabilization Sample

There are a couple of key new features in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that make it an attractive device for enthusiast mobile photographers.

The iPhone 6 has digital image stabilization for still photos, while the iPhone 6 Plus has the coveted optical image stabilization. Both models sport a feature called “Cinematic Video Stabilization” for video footage. SanDisk Announces 4K-Capable 64GB Extreme PRO microSD Card

SanDisk has announced a new line of Extreme PRO microSD cards with transfer speeds up to 95MB/s.

The card has a UHS-I bus and Speed Class 3 rating, which has been the minimum rating for 4K video capture in many recent 4K-capable cameras. The U3 rating means that the cards will deliver a minimum sustained write speed of 30MB/s.

The SanDisk Extreme Pro microSD UHS-I card is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and ranges in price from $79.99 to $299.99. Watch for them here at B&H Photo.

Hasselblad Announces H5D-50c with WiFi
