Pentax 645Z 51.4MP CMOS Medium Format Camera Announced

Ricoh Imaging has officially unveiled the Pentax 645Z medium format camera featuring a 51.4MP CMOS sensor. The camera gets a boost in speed with up to 3 fps still image capture and a very high sensitivity up to ISO 204,800. Additionally, the Pentax 645Z captures 1080p HD video at 30p/24p, becoming the first medium format camera to do so. [Read more…]

With all of the recent camera additions from Blackmagic, some users of the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera have expressed concern over the lack of firmware updates for the cameras and wondering whether Blackmagic will be supporting these cameras going forward.
