iPad Remote, Eazel and More Killer Apps for Adobe Photoshop

The recent update for Photoshop CS5 adds the power to remotely control elements within Photoshop from external devices like the iPad.

Shawn Welch walks through his latest app, “Remote for Adobe Photoshop,” created using the Adobe Photoshop Touch SDK. Remote for Photoshop provides users with a live interactive document and remote connections to tools and filters from both the iPad and the iPhone. Additionally, Shawn’s app also gives users the ability to easily move documents between devices. –AdobeTV

Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 Update Adds Remote Control from iPad

Eye-Fi Direct Mode = Wireless Tethering to iPad, iPhone or Android Devices

Eye-Fi has flipped the switch on a new Direct Mode for Eye-Fi X2 WiFi SD cards.  Using these new cards with corresponding Apps, you can now instantly transmit images to your iOS or Android devices.

Direct Mode offers the flexibility of anywhere. After a quick set up, take photos wherever you are – then when you’re ready to transfer, just turn your camera on and let Eye-Fi do the rest. The Eye-Fi X2 card will create its own Wi-Fi network and transfer to the free iPhone/iPad or Android app. No matter where you are, you’ll get your photos and videos on your device in no time. –Eye-Fi

From Adobe Flash to iOS – Sneak Peek at NAB

Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Announced, Upgrade & Subscription Options Available

Adobe has updated its Creative Suite line of products from CS5 to CS5.5.  With the introduction of CS5.5, Adobe is shifting from an 18-24 month product cycle upgrade.  Instead, Adobe will now be release a major version update every 24 months and a mid-cycle upgrade every 12 months. [Read more…]

Color Mixing Coming to Photoshop for iPad in “Very Near Term”

Last week, we saw what the future possibilities are for Photoshop on the iPad and other tablet devices when it comes to actually working with layers.  Now that I’m back from Photoshop World and have had some sleep, I’m getting to some of the other exciting stuff that I saw there.

In yet another segment of the Photoshop World 2011 Keynote, John Loiacono introduced a teaser trailer of a new “color mixing” feature that will be coming to Photoshop for the iPad in the “very very near term,” as he put it.
