Zeiss 55mm f/1.4 Otus Distagon T* Officially Launched

Zeiss 55mm F1.4 Otus Distagon

Though this lens has been in development for some time, Zeiss has finally taken the official wraps off of its 55mm f/1.4 Otus Distagon T* lens. The new lens is available in Nikon and Canon mounts for $3,999. It is expected to ship in November for both mounts.

Nikon D610 Announcement Due October 7-8?

WonderPana FreeArc Helps Put Filters on Previously Impossible Lenses

One of the shortcomings of such a wide-angle lens is the ability to add traditional filters to them. The protruding front lens elements and fixed petal-shaped hoods make it impossible.

Fotodiox has solved this problem with its new WonderPana FreeArc filter system for the Nikon wide- and super-wide lenses. The FreeArc can also handle graduated ND filters with the square filter attachment.

Nikon D610 Spec Rumors: Same as the D600?

The rumored Nikon D610 specs have surfaced and appear to be the same as the Nikon D600. Again, the Nikon D610 is rumored to be a fast replacement to the D600 due to sensor spot issue. Accordingly, it makes sense that the D610 wouldn’t feature any significant updates other than an improved shutter mechanism (one that doesn’t produce residue that leads to sensor spots). Nikon D7100 Bundle Deals
