Flickr Releases Android App
Flickr has released a new Android app, which is a free download from the Android Market Place. The new app features a built-in camera, upload integration with Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and others, and geotagging. It also offers access to Flickr organizational features and groups (although, I’m seeing limited options for any serious organizational features so far).
You can find it in the Android Market here.
Nikon Says It’s Sorry
Nikon has apologized for yesterday’s Facebook post, which claimed “A photographer is only as good as the equipment he uses.”
We know some of you took offense to the last post, and we apologize, as it was not our aim to insult any of our friends. Our statement was meant to be interpreted that the right equipment can help you capture amazing images. We appreciate the passion you have for photography and your gear, and know that a great picture is possible anytime and anywhere.
Kudos Nikon.

A recent status update on Nikon’s Facebook page stated that “A photographer is only as good as the equipment he uses.”
I can appreciate the marketing push for your products over competitors, but limiting a photographer’s skill to the equipment he uses is a pretty dumb thing to say. [Read more…]
