Canon Officially Unveils the EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens

Canon has officially announced the released of the previously leaked EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens for Canon EOS M cameras. However, it appears the lens is not come (yet) to the US market.

The new lens will be available in the UK and other markets. It is priced at £329.99/€389.99 and should ship in July 2014.

How to Remove Anything from a Photo in Photoshop

In the above video from Phlearn, you can learn how to remove objects from you photos using the tools inside Photoshop like clone stamp and selection tools. It clocks in at 20 minutes; however, if you don’t know how to cleanly remove objects from an image (beyond just using Content Aware tools on simple portions of images), this is a great lesson.

Sony A7s Scores Top Marks for Low Light Capability

DxO Labs recently put the A7s through its DxO Mark test and delivered numbers for the Sony A7s sensor’s performance, which earned it the top spot among all cameras for the best low light performance with a score of 3702 ISO. [Read more…]

Fuji has announced the new XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens to go along with its X-series of cameras, like the X-T1.

The new Fuji XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens features a weather-resistant design with more than 20 weather sealed points. As such, it is design to mate nicely with the weather sealed X-T1. It also offers 5-stops of image stabilization through the built-in OIS stabilizer. On Fuji’s X-series cameras, the lens covers a 27-206mm full frame equivalent focal range. [Read more…]
