Samsung has released a major firmware update for the new NX1 mirrorless camera. Firmware version 1.20 adds a ton of features and capabilities for shooting video.

Holy cow! 2014 blew right by us. There were so many great new cameras and photo gear accessories released in 2014. Just a couple that stick out are the Sony A7S and Panasonic GH4, which were the first two real 4K-capable prosumer cameras to hit the market. Previously released for Canon and Nikon APS-C mounts, the Lensbaby 5.8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye lens is now available in several more mounts.
New mount options include Micro Four Thirds, Sony E, Pentax K, Samsung NX and Sony A mounts. The lens retails for $299.95. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
Alongside the new Samsung NX1, the company also revealed a new pro-level lens to complement the flagship camera. The Samsung 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS S lens provides a field of view equivalent to 77-231mm on a full frame camera. As such, the lens fills the slot for what would typically be a 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom in most other DSLR lines. [Read more…]
