The Case for Adobe OS

For the past couple of years, I’ve been known to rant to my friends and creative professionals with whom I work closely about OS choices – or the lack thereof.  This is particularly the case when I encounter some kind of Mac or Windows anti-solution.

Cell Phone Cameras Offer Powerful Insight to Police Misconduct

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II Lens Also Available in US

It looks like tha Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II lens that was announced outside the US last month will also be coming to the US.  Canon USA has the lens listed on its site.

The lens was previously slated to be available in the UK this month.  No word yet on pricing; however, the existing version of this lens runs around $180 street at the time of this post.  Check availability for the new lens on Amazon.com.

Nikon Mirrorless Camera Image Leaks Out

It looks like Nikon’s compact mirrorless camera has leaked its lens mount and sensor mount onto the web.  Based on this image, it’s clearly not an F-mount camera – so you won’t be using existing Nikon lenses on this camera (without an adapter, that is).  Additionally, the sensor looks smaller than APS-C format. Mac OS X Lion & Photo/Video Software Compatibility

The Panasonic Lumix LS5 is a new 14.1MP camera with a 5x optical zoom (26-130mm equivalent) and is powered by a pair of AA batteries.  The camera is positioned as a budget-oriented camera; however, it features optical image stabilization and 720p video capture, which puts it a step above some other budget cameras.
