Gitzo Launches Updated Mountaineer Series Carbon Fiber Tripods

Gitzo’s Mountaineer series just received a substantial update with a refresh of the entire line. The new tripods feature Carbon eXact tubes with stiffer carbon fiber for maximum rigidity and image stability. The final leg section of the 4 section Series 1 tripod tubes is now 22.5% thicker than its predecessor. Additionally, the twist locks have been upgraded for better ergonomics and operation, while reducing dust entering the system. [Read more…]

Adobe Creative Cloud Declared Huge Success as it Surges to 1.84 Million Subscribers

Adobe released its 2014 first quarter financial results last week, revealing $1 billion in revenue for the quarter and nearly 2 million Creative Cloud subscribers. Adobe gained 405,000 subscribers in the first quarter alone for a total of 1,844,000 total subscribers and growing. [Read more…]

Transcend Launches 4K-Ready UHS-I Speed Class 3 SD Cards

Transcend Speed UHS-I Class 3 SD Cards

Transcend has launched two new product lines of SD cards with UHS-I Speed Class 3 ratings, which provide a minimum sustained write speed of 30MB/s. The higher minimum write speed meets the requirements of 4K video capture from existing 4K cameras like the Sony FDR-AX100, Panasonic Lumix GH4 and Canon EOS C500. [Read more…]

‘From Bump to Buzz’ Combines Live Action and Timelapse for a Great Music Video

This adorable birth announcement video combines live action video with a time lapse shot over a 9 month period. In the 2 days since the video was uploaded, it has over 2.4 million views and counting.

Tom Fletcher notes on his YouTube channel that they took photos every day through the 9 months of their pregnancy to create this fantastic three minute multimedia piece. Additionally, Tom wrote and performed the song “Something New” to go along with their presentation of the new addition to the family.

Canon Launches CPS Cinema and Enterprise Membership Levels
