Pro Photographer Explains His Switch from Nikon to Fuji Mirrorless

Last week, I shared how one pro photographer switched from Nikon to Sony’s mirrorless cameras. But Sony isn’t the only mirrorless camera maker that is firing on all cylinders.

Photographer Lukas Gisbert-mora recently switched from Nikon’s DSLR system to Fuji’s X-Series with the new Fuji X-T1. He’s been a Nikon user for 15 years and after 3 months and 20,000 photos with the X-T1, he switched completely to the Fuji X-T1. [Read more…]

Apple Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01

Apple has issued an update to Digital Camera RAW to version 6.01, which adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11.

  • Canon EOS 7D Mark II
  • Fujifilm X30
  • Nikon D750
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100

Video: Joe McNally Photography – A Retrospective

This video shows off the Joe McNally Photojournalist Exhibition at the Monroe Gallery of Photography in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The exhibition is a 30 year retrospective of Joe McNally’s diverse and dynamic images.

In the video, Joe shares his thoughts on the prints in the gallery and what it means to see some of the images as prints for the very first time. This is the last week of the show, so if you are in the Santa Fe area, be sure to stop by and see this exhibit.

Xume Quick Release Adapters Use Magnets to Mount Lens Filters

Xume Quick Release Adapter for Lens Filters

Xume Quick Release Adapters are designed to help you quickly swap or add filters to your lenses. The adapters use magnets to secure the lens filters onto the end of lenses.

In order to use the adapters, you simply screw one onto the lens and mount your filters on the filter holder. When you bring the mounted filter to the front of your lens, it will snap into place. Check out the video below for an overview. [Read more…]
